Rebecca & Daniel Fontana's "Lots of Love & Laughter" Flower Design Wedding at The Inn at Whitewell

First of all let me just say how much I love The Inn at Whitewell, it's set in the most exquisite landscape with bags of old world charm, it's the most perfect setting for "outdoorsy" types that like a bit walking, fishing, shooting, cycling and twitching along side this it has massive appeal for serious "foodies" the food here is extrodinarily good, all locally sourced country goodness.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that the people who choose The Inn are always proper family folk, their weddings are always big loving family occasions, with copious amounts of laughter, hugs and kisses this wedding was no exception...

These flowers are designed with all of this taken into account, I've used lots of lovely seasonal, country goodies like seed heads and berries, oak leaves and herbs, I've used blooms that are quite simply huggable luscious Avalanche & Amnesia Roses, there's lots of fragrance here too a kind of earthy, foresty smell that just reminds me it's autumn.

First stop then; The Brides bedroom to deliver the bridal bouquets, when we arrived around 3:00pm the wedding wasn't until 4:00 this room was a hive of activity so I undressed the bouquets and prepared them for presentation.

Cameras were poised as I handed out the beautiful autumn posies

Rebecca as you can see was rather pleased and just a little excited!!

She couldn't tear her eyes away from her exquisite wedding bouquet
How gorgeous, I love it when the bouquets are so beautifully recieved

Brides Mum Joan put her jacket over her dressing gown for corsage attachement

Then off to meet our fabulous Groom Danny complete with top hat.
Rosie had created a Boutonniere to die for, with Schwartzwalder Calla Lily, Fresh Jasmine, Sedum & Steel Berry

Daniel's Mum Mary (Photographed here without her hat, sorry Mary) wearing a corsage of Cymbidium Orchids, Rolled Quick Sand Rose Petals, Hypericum berries and Dracena leaves looped, this complimented her dark brown suit beautifully.

Grandad Michael wore his Top Hat with aplomb! The ceremony was held in the dining room, we decorated the table with a simple hand tie in a glass bowl, we included Avalanche Roses, Inga & Snowberry, Eryngium & Hydrangeas.

A tall elegant vase graced a pedestal to the left of the registrars table and included some lovely Antirhinnums, Schwartzwalder Callas and Arabicum.

This room is cosy and intimate

Look at that view from the balcony attached to the marquee

Tall conical vases set on mirrored plates filled with crystal jelly and topped with dramatic vertical hand tie of Antirhinnums, Arabicum, Poppy Seed Heads, Calla Lilies, Hydrangeas, Umbrella Fern, Ivy & Dangly Amaranthus.
Rachel & Sue made these superb table centres
The table tops were dressed with diamante sprinkles, Fresh Rose Petals from Avalanche and Amnesia Roses and tea lights in glass votives.

The tables at either side of the marquee where the ceiling dips had goldfish bowl style vases with hand tied posies of Brassica, Roses & Callas in shades of Ivory green & Aubergine.

The musical entertainment was provided by C&C DJ Factory

They were all completely blown away by their marquee
Rebecca is greeted by Sharon from the Inn who works tirelessly to ensure a fabulous event.

THE BRIDAL BOUQUET: The bouquet I designed for Rebecca was in shades of Ivory & Aubergine, it was in a “Flower Design” hand tied style with Arabicum, Thistles, White Heather, Schwarzwalder calla lillies, Amnesia Roses, Avalanche Roses, Poppy Seed Heads, Sedum, Dill, Panicum, Snowberry and Black Inga berries.

Rebecca's Sassi Holford gown was divine

The Cheeses, wow, these were spectacular cheeses and topped with the cutest little mice ever, I dressed them with a combination of Calla Lilies, Roses & Eryngium.

I'm guessing that these cheeses came from The Cheese Hamlet in Didsbury, one of my favourite shops on earth but I'm not certain soI'll confirm it later on.

This Flower Design Bridesmaid's Posy in shades of Black & White, with Aubergine and Mushroom I included some lovely Amnesia Roses, Calla Lilies, Thistles and Oak leavesIt's always lovely to work with "The Kents" Alan & Dawn from Kent Photography in Clitheroe, they're the kind of people who get the job done pleasurably (They were first ones to actually get in the river to take photographs of the B&G on the stepping stones a job not for the faint hearted it's what you'd call extreme photography)

Thank you so much to this lovely family for choosing Flower Design to design the flowers for their exceptionally special day, we're really delighted they did.
On our way home, as it was about 6:30 and lunch simply hadn't happened Jason and I went to a fabulous pub for our dinner "The Red Pump Inn" at Bashall Eaves, if you haven't tried it and you're in our neck of the woods give it a go you won't be dissapointed, the food was stupendous! Venison Raviloli with garlic butter ummm! Rabbit in a variety of "positions" aptly name "Rabbit Fest" and Fig Tart who could ask for more after a very very busy day!
